Important updates

The relevant port check-in times for your departure can be found on your confirmation in local time. When travelling to the port, please allow adequate time in order to complete the check-in process. A minimum of 45 minutes prior to the sailing departure time for our ferry crossings on Eastern Channel routes; 90 minutes prior to the sailing departure time for ferry crossings on our Western Channel and Long Sea routes.

Harwich - Esbjerg sailings

As of 29th September 2014, our Harwich-Esbjerg route will cease to operate. For more information, please read our press release.

Newcastle - Amsterdam sailings

Tyne Pedestrian and Cyclist Tunnel refurbishment.

Please note that The Tyne Pedestrian and Cyclist Tunnels, between Howdon and Jarrow, will close for refurbishment work and excpected to re-open June 2015. Dover - Dunkirk/Calais sailings

Potential Blockade of Dover Port - Saturday 27th September 2014.

We are planning on operating our Dover-France ferry services as normal this weekend, but are aware of a potential protest planned at the Port of Dover this Saturday, 27 September. As always, we are in close contact with the Port of Dover regarding any potential disruption to services, and will advise all passenger and freight customers sailing with us over the weekend should we receive any notification that our service could be disrupted. Road Maintenance - Dover A20

A20 resurfacing work will take place from Monday 01st September until Saturday 27th September 2014 weather permitting and will take four weeks to complete. Maintenance will be carried out between 20:00 and 08:00 every night. Diversions will be in place over this period.

Please allow additional time when travelling to the Port of Dover due to traffic delays.

Road Maintenance - Dunkirk/Calais A16

Due to essential road maintenance on the A16 highway between Marck and St Folquin renovation please be aware of the following road maintenence

A16 - Calais bound between Monday 15th - Friday 26th September 2014

Diversion will be put in place over this period. Please allow extra time when travelling to the Port of Calais/Dunkirk due to traffic delays.

Travel Management Improvements - Port of Dover

The port of Dover is undergoing significant works for the benefit of all its customers and for the next two months arrangements at the front of the port are flexible. The Travel Centre itself is now closed. If you would like to purchase tickets at port, or if you have a ticket enquiry, please make your way to one of the DFDS Seaways check-in booths where we will be happy to help. Alternatively, pre-purchase your tickets online or telephone our contact centre on 0871 574 7235. (Calls cost up to 10p a min plus network charges). Newhaven - Dieppe / Portsmouth - Le Havre sailings 

Newhaven - Dieppe sailings may be subject to alteration due to tidal restrictions.

Portsmouth - Le Havre : Due to essential maintenance work on the Normandy Bridge between Honfleur and Le Havre, there will be only one lane open until the 15th October 2014. Renovation work is being carried out between Monday-Thursday 08:00-18:00 during this period. Please allow additional time when travelling to the Port of Le Harve due to expected traffic delays.
