Getting to DFDS Seaways Ferry Terminals by Bus 

Buses 

We offer bus connections in Newcastle and Amsterdam, the ideal way to make your way between the City Centres and the Ferry Ports.

Our buses in Newcastle are easily identified by the DFDS Seaways logo on their sides. Taking you from our port in North Shields to Newcastle city centre, they cost from as little as £3.50 per person each way (£2.50 per child).

These are scheduled to coincide with our ship arrival and departure times, taking typically 20-30 minutes, depending on the city traffic.

Buses drop off and pick-up at the Central Station. You should only take as much luggage as you can carry yourself.

Christmas & New Year Timetable Changes:

Please note that bus transfers will not be operating either to or from the port in North Shields on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.

International Passenger Terminal - Newcastle Central Station

Buses depart on ship's arrival.
