FERRIES Connecting norway and the UK

DFDS Seaways Cruise ferries from the UK sail to Bergen, normally after stopping at the Norwegian ports of Stavanger and Haugesund. From here you can easily access the Norwegian fjords.

The port opens 3 hours prior to the departure of the m.s. QUEEN OF SCANDINAVIA (for early morning departures it is open 2 hours prior to sailing).

Only a five minute walk from the famous Bryggen, the port is within easy reach of the rest of the city.

The facilities at the port are fairly limited - but include a vending machine where you can purchase coffee and soft drinks. Toilets are available, as well as handicap facilities. You can also find luggage lockers to store your luggage while you wait.

Driving:

The fastest route between Bergen and Oslo by car is the route RV7: Oslo, Gol and Eidfjord to Bergen.

Alternatively take the E16 and go through the world's longest tunnel - The Lærdalstunnelen - over 24 kilometres long! From Oslo go to Hønefoss, then Leira, Fagerness, Lærdalsøyri, Aurland, through the Lærdalstunnelen to Gudvangen and then on to Bergen.

By Train:

The train and bus stations face Strømgaten, a five-minute walk east of Bergen ferry port.

Trains serving the Bergen Line connect the two most important cities in Norway - Oslo and Bergen. Known for going "over the roof of Norway" - this train ride is a truly memorable experience, taking in some spectacular scenery.

There are approximately 3 train departures daily.
