Eastern European press trip

Journalists from the leading Eastern European magazines and news portals published in the UK had the opportunity to travel to Dunkirk on Friday 2 September 2011.

The press trip was a joint project of DFDS Seaways, Dunkirk Tourist Office and Polka PR, an ethnic communications agency. Highlights of the one day trip included a lunch in a traditional French restaurant, a guided tour through the city centre, a walk to the dunes and a visit to the world famous Operation Dynamo War Museum.

Travelling first class on the Dover-Dunkirk route, the Latvian, Lithuanian, Bulgarian and Romanian reporters also visited the Captain's bridge, dedicated areas for truck drivers and duty-free shops. The result of the trip will be travel features, showing the Eastern European readers the benefits of travelling with DFDS Seaways across the Channel to visit Dunkirk.
