DFDS Seaways launches latest Cross Channel offers as France named top holiday destination.
DFDS Seaways (formerly Norfolkline), has launched a special offer on it’s Dover - France route designed to appeal to the growing number of people choosing to holiday in France this summer. The offer comes in the wake of recent research from The Co-Operative Travel, which showed a renewed interest in France as a top holiday destination.
Passengers can now travel across the Channel for just £19 return for a day trip for a car and up to four passengers, travelling up to 20th July. For those who are looking to spend longer on the Continent, fares for journeys between Dover and Dunkirk start from just £25 each way for a car and up to four passengers (terms and conditions apply*).
Chris Newey, director of passenger services for the English Channel route at DFDS Seaways, said:
"It’s great to hear that more people are choosing France for their holiday, as it has so many great attractions to visit, and places to explore. We hope that our latest offer encourages more people to revisit ferry travel as an affordable, relaxing and reliable way to travel to France and the rest of Europe.
“Modern ferry travel is not only flexible in terms of which service you use, there are a whole host of other advantages too, such as being able to take as much luggage as you can fit into your vehicle, at no extra cost. We find that most people who use our ferries become real advocates of our service. There is plenty of space, as well as fantastic entertainment facilities and restaurants onboard for children and adults to enjoy, making it the perfect start to any holiday.”
As the only ferry operator to sail to Dunkirk, DFDS Seaways passengers also benefit from the convenience of arriving at a port that has little of the congestion associated with busier ports, such as Calais, despite being only 30km away. Dunkirk is also perfectly situated for onward travel into the rest of France, Europe and beyond, with access to all the main European arterial roads.
