DFDS Seaways pushes the boat out with charity Mini Cruises
To celebrate its 146th anniversary, DFDS Seaways is proudly continuing its on-going support of local charity, Children North East, and is once again running its popular Amsterdam charity mini cruises. With seven departure dates throughout November what better way to explore Amsterdam for less and help such a worthy local cause in one go.
Customers wishing to travel on an Amsterdam charity mini cruise choose to pay either £30 or £50 per person (usually priced from £79pp) for the two night break. DFDS Seaways donate 100 per cent of this money directly to Children North East which is dedicated to helping disadvantaged children in the region.
From the moment you set foot on board, you’ll enjoy a fantastic range of bars, restaurants and live entertainment to help you really unwind. Once in Amsterdam there is no shortage of things to do - from sightseeing to shopping to simply relaxing one of the Dutch capital’s cafes and watching the world go by.
The break includes two nights in an en suite cabin, return coach transfers to Amsterdam and the best part of a day sightseeing the Dutch capital, as well as the chance to enjoy excellent food and live entertainment onboard.
Children North East is the region’s own children’s charity and 120 years old this year. It provides vital help as well as emotional and practical support to families with children who are facing difficulties. The money raised from DFDS Seaways charity mini cruises will help provide a happier Christmas for families living in homeless people’s accommodation in the region.
Carol Taylor, Senior Fundraiser for Children North East said: “We are very grateful to DFDS Seaways for their phenomenal support over the past six years and for increasing their commitment to charity when so many businesses are cutting back. We also want to thank DFDS Seaways’ customers whose generosity helps so many young lives in the local area.”
