Ferry Good Viking Invasion!
It wasn’t quite the usual mode of transport for a Viking invasion but cruise ferry, Dana Sirena provided a modern alternative for a group of Danish Vikings arriving into Harwich Port en route to London 2012.
Passengers onboard the DFDS Seaways ship were left wondering if Danish Vikings were launching the first invasion for 946 years, but instead were treated to some entertainment from the group of actors as they cruised overnight from Esbjerg, Denmark, into Harwich Port.
The group clad in authentic Viking costume will be performing at Visit Denmark’s ‘IMAGINATION – Discover the Danish Spirit’ event in London this week to highlight Denmark as a holiday destination and give people a taste of Viking attractions on offer in Denmark, http://www.visitdenmark.com/en-gb/imagination . DFDS Seaways Harwich to Esbjerg, Denmark route is the only passenger route to Scandinavia from the UK.
