DFDS Seaways launches day sailings
Cruise ferry operator, DFDS Seaways has launched a new range of day sailings along the picturesque Northumberland coast.
The new departures follow the success of its Jubilee sailing which was a sell out. The three hour sailings depart from port in North Shields and include a three course buffet lunch in the ship’s buffet restaurant and live entertainment from the resident band, troubadour and singer.
There’s also the chance to visit the shops and explore the ship and the deck areas where customers can enjoy the sea views and even spot some marine life. Expert guides will be on hand to run wildlife spotting activities and presentations. Finally, children can have fun in the kids club and ball pool and meet the DFDS Seaways mascot Jack the Pirate!
The next departures are Sunday 12th and Sunday 19th August and cost £30pp for adults and £15pp for children. Passengers will board at 10.30am and the ship will set sail at 11am arriving back into port for disembarkation at 2pm.
DFDS Seaways is also increasing the number of day events onboard its cruise ferries including a Pantomime themed event on 9th December, in addition to its annual Mother’s Day and Easter Sunday events.
