Go Dutch

No need to splash the cash to getaway this autumn, just ‘Go Dutch’ with DFDS Seaways 2 for 1 offers on mini cruise breaks to Holland sailing from Newcastle. You buy one mini cruise ticket and the other is on DFDS Seaways, meaning 2 adults get a break from just £79 or a family of four from £138.

Relax as soon as you step onboard the DFDS Seaways cruise ferry and make time to enjoy a delicious meal in one of the restaurants, a relaxing drink in one of the four onboard bars and a flutter in the casino, before sitting back to watch the evening’s live entertainment. After a peaceful night’s sleep awake refreshed and ready to explore your destination before returning to the ship for a relaxing cruise home.

One couple who were chosen by DFDS Seaways to film their mini cruise experience to Amsterdam have been picked as the faces to star in the company’s new TV advert to launch the Go Dutch campaign.

Helen Moderate and Yassir Malik from Cullercoats in North Tyneside filmed their onboard experience during their ferry crossing to Holland from Newcastle, as well as their day in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam.  The advert will be screened on Tyne Tees in September and October and shows their genuine experiences and emotions onboard the DFDS Seaways cruise ferry and in Amsterdam.

Helen, said: “We used our imagination and filmed our time onboard eating in the restaurant and enjoying a few relaxing drinks in the bar, as well as capturing the sunset out on deck. We got some great footage of the cheese and tulip markets in Amsterdam and enjoyed wandering through the cobbled streets and seeing the beautiful canals. It was quite surreal watching our break on TV but we enjoyed every minute of our time together and discovered more of Amsterdam that we hadn’t seen before. It was a great experience that we’ll never forget.”

Helen and Yassir also feature on the radio adverts, leaflets, posters and newspaper adverts to promote the Go Dutch offer.
