Located at either end of the Leidsestraat , both Leidseplein and Koningsplein are home to a dazzling array of festive markets stalls and a spectacular ice rink, which will be there until mid-January.

As the city celebrates its annual Light Festival (6 December – 19 January), centred on the theme of ‘Building with Light’, illuminated artworks will be on display and special activities will take place at museums, theatres, shops and other locations.

As the city’s Christmas festivities ebb away into the New Year, you can experience the vibrant Dutch culture from Amsterdam’s world-class museums and attractions, superb boutiques and shops and wonderful bars and restaurants.

A mini cruise with DFDS Seaways isn’t just a mode of transport – it’s an integral part of your short break!
