DFDS Seaways announces a royal week of celebrations

Free meals for your little princes and princesses, plus Free crossings for families with babies born on 22nd July 2013!

To celebrate the arrival of the Prince of Cambridge, leading ferry operator DFDS Seaways is offering free meals to all children travelling on its Dover-Dunkirk route. It is also offering a free return crossing between Dover and Dunkirk for new parents who have babies born on the same day as Kate and Wills’ new arrival.

Customers who book a single or return ferry crossing with DFDS Seaways before 31 July for travel before 23 December 2013 will receive free meals for all children in the booking aged 15 or under. Children can choose a Kids’ Breakfast or Kids’ Meal from the Self Service Restaurant menu absolutely free! If a return crossing is booked the free meals can be claimed on both the outbound and return crossing.

What’s more families with tots who share their date of birth with the third in line to the throne are also eligible for a free return crossing on the Dover-Dunkirk route for use before the end of 2014. A perfect present to reward their busy parents with the chance to get away in either this year or next. The whole family will also receive free meals onboard during the crossings up to a value of £30 per family each way.

DFDS Seaways operates the only direct ferry route to Dunkirk and it is a short two-hour crossing, the perfect day trip destination or a great place to start journeys into Europe. Dunkirk is also close to child-friendly attractions such as Plopsaland-de-Panne, a family fun park less than an hour’s drive from the DFDS Seaways’ port.

There are up to 24 sailings a day between Dover and Dunkirk, providing passengers with flexible crossing times, a fantastic onboard travel experience and convenient travel options. Just 30 miles north of Calais, Dunkirk is close to France’s excellent motorway network, so it’s a convenient gateway to Europe whether travellers are heading south through France, north to Belgium and Holland or east to Germany, Poland and eastern Europe.
