Fall in love with our autumn offer on DFDS Seaways’ routes to Normandy

Travel from just £39 each way on Portsmouth to Le Havre or Newhaven to Dieppe crossings.

DFDS Seaways has launched a special offer for couples on both its Portsmouth to Le Havre and Newhaven to Dieppe routes from just £39 each way this autumn (from September through to November). The offer is for two passengers travelling with a car.

Taking a ferry is a relaxing and romantic way to start any break, with easy access onto the ship, a range of onboard restaurants and cafes, plenty of space onboard to stretch your legs and no luggage restrictions. There is also a range of comfortable cabins for those wanting to wake up fully refreshed on the other side of the Channel, meaning that your holiday starts as soon as you board.

Autumn is a fantastic time to travel, as the heat from the summer still lingers, but the crowds of holidaymakers from schools across Europe have dissipated. The changing colours of the foliage also make it a beautiful time to visit northern France and with the latest DFDS Seaways ferry offers, taking a break together has never been more affordable.

Romantic break suggestions

Why not plan a visit to ‘The Wonder of the Western World”, the Mont-Saint-Michel is a world famous place of pilgrimage, steeped in architectural history. Lose yourselves as you stroll along the magnificent bay that surrounds the island and take in all that this World Heritage Site has to offer.

Away from the coast, you can visit the beautiful gardens at Giverny, which inspired Claude Monet’s most famous work. Step into your very own Monet painting as you explore the enchanting gardens with the amazing colours and scents, pretty ponds and village.

For a foodie experience together, visit the Fromagerie Graindorge in Livarot, a free self guided tour of the intricate process and history involved in this famous cheese. Make sure to enjoy the sampling at the end of the tour and browse the boutique shop to choose your favourite cheese to bring home.

DFDS Seaways sails up to three times a day between the UK and Normandy region, providing passengers with flexible crossing times and a luxury onboard travel experience.

Both routes offer affordable and convenient travel options, which are ideal for passengers looking to visit historic Normandy or travel further afield to Paris and Northern France.

Two daily return sailings run between Newhaven and Dieppe, which is just a four-hour crossing. Newhaven is close to Brighton and is only an hour’s drive from London’s M25. The ferry departs at 10:00 and 23:00 from Newhaven, and 05:30 and 18:00 from Dieppe.

The Portsmouth to Le Havre route operates a daily return sailing, departing from Portsmouth at 23.00 and 17.00 from Le Havre. The A3 allows passengers easy access to the M25 and easily connects Portsmouth to London.
