Getting to and from the port by bus
To and from The Central Station/Oslo S and Vippetangen: Take bus No.60 - Vippetangen, from Oslo S to Vippetangen. The bus stops outside “Jernbanetorvets Apotek” – the Central Station's pharmacy, opposite to the entrance of the shopping mall “Byporten”. The bus departs approximately every 20 minutes and takes about 5 minutes to Vippetangen, (or “Fiskehallen”) which is the last stop.
Bus No.60 returns to Oslo from Vippetangen approximately every 20 minutes. It leaves around 15 minutes after your ferry has docked, giving you plenty of time.
As the capital of Norway, Oslo has excellent train connections with key cities in Norway and indeed across Scandinavia. Oslo Port is close by to the city centre.
From the city centre on foot
If you choose to walk to the terminal, turn left when facing Karl Johan street and walk towards “Havnelageret” which is a large pink building. Cross over the E18 after approximately 150 metres, by using one of the crossing walkway bridges. From the bridge you will to see our cruise ferry, and the signs marked with “Gangvei til fergene” / “Walkway towards the ships”.
If you are situated in the area of Akerbrygge, follow the seaside road that leads around the large fortress. Both walks take around 15 – 20 minutes.
