Dover port information
DFDS Seaways take thousands of passenger and freight vehicles and passengers from Dover across the Channel to both Dunkirk and Calais in the North of France every year.
The ferry terminal at Dover Eastern Docks is one of the busiest ferry docks in the world and is very easy to find and to get to.
Address: Dover Eastern Docks, Dover, Kent CT16 1JA
GPS coordinates : 51.129705, 1.311137.
Situated at the end of the A2 main road from London and close by the main M20 motorway from London, access to the port is clearly signposted on your arrival at Dover
The terminal at Dover is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. On arrival at the terminal just follow the signs through frontier control and then follow the signs for DFDS Seaways check in booths. If you arrive without buying a ticket in advance, you still need to go through passport control first and the staff in the check in booths will be glad to assist. However, you can save money by booking in advance of arrival.
However, it is always cheaper to buy your ticket in advance of arrival at the port and this also guarantees that space will be available for you on the ferry. Please note that we do not accept foot passengers on the Dover-Dunkirk route.
