If travelling from the North and the Midlands of England: Take the M6 south and merge onto the M42 which is close to Birmingham and then join the M40. When approaching junction 10 of the M40, take the A34 south to Winchester, where you join the M3 towards Southampton. Merge onto the M27 towards Portsmouth, when you are close to Southampton and head towards Portsmouth. Then take the M275 clearly signposted for Cross-Channel Ferries.
From London: Take the A3 towards Portsmouth and merge onto the M2. Then take the M275 clearly signposted for Cross-Channel Ferries.
From Wales: Take the M4 towards London and then take the A34 south to Winchester when close to Newbury. At Winchester join the M3 towards Southampton. When you are approaching Southampton, merge onto the M27 towards Portsmouth and then take the M275 clearly signposted for Cross-Channel Ferries.
From the West Country: Take the A30 from Exeter heading east, then the A30, A35 and A31 past Lyme Regis and Dorchester towards Southampton. When approaching Southampton join the M27 towards Portsmouth and then take the M275 clearly signposted for Cross-Channel Ferries.
Car parking: There is a multi-storey (24 hour) car park at Portsmouth ferry port, within easy reach of the main ferry terminal. Disabled parking facilities are also available inside and outside the multi-storey car park with additional bays available near the main terminal building. From London Waterloo, London Victoria (via Brighton) and Cardiff (via Salisbury and Bristol) to Portsmouth Harbour and Portsmouth & Southsea train stations. These stations are a short taxi ride from the ferry port. During the summer season a bus operates between the stations and the ferry port.
