Newcastle - Cruise Ferries between the UK & Holland 

Getting to the port by car:

From Newcastle City Centre: take the A1 towards Morpeth and then the A19 towards the Tyne Tunnel.  On approach to the Tunnel, follow the International Ferry symbol onto the A187 towards North Shields. Continue along this road to the roundabout, take the second exit to the International Ferry Terminal, Royal Quays.

From the North: Head for the Tyne Tunnel via the A19, then follow the directions as above.

From the South: Approach via the A19 towards the Tyne Tunnel.  Once through the Tunnel, join the A187 and proceed as above. Please Note: Drivers approaching from the South should allow extra time during the summer months when the tunnel can be extremely busy.

Getting there by Bus:

Newcastle Central Station is about 20 minutes by bus from the port. A special DFDS Seaways bus leaves from Newcastle Central Station before each sailing. From only £3.50 per person each way, you can ride the DFDS Seaways Bus from Newcastle Central Station to the International Ferry Terminal (and back). The easy way to get to your cruise ferry.

There are two DFDS Seaways bus departures for each sailing; the first one leaves at 14:45 and the second leaves at 15:45, 1 hour 15 minutes before departure.  Book in advance or pay the driver when you board.

Christmas & New Year Timetable Changes:

Please note that bus transfers will not be operating either to or from the port in North Shields on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.
