Steeped in history

Steeped in history

Normandy has a colourful and impressive history, with a great many links with British history and the Kings of England.

The region is home to the Bayeux Tapestry, the breathtaking Abbey of Mont Saint Michel and the stunning Falaise Castle, home of William the Conqueror.

Normandy was also the site of pivotal and significant military offensives, and there are a great many World War II sites including the D-Day beaches of Omaha, Utah and Juno and significant war memorial museums to visit.
