Caen is a gorgeous town located just over an hour’s drive from Le Havre and under 2 hours from Dieppe. Rebuilt after the Second World War, Caen has wonderful architecture and beautiful town squares. The town combines modern life whilst retaining the certain je ne sais quois which you would expect from an 11 th century French town. The Normandy beaches are all within a 45 minute drive away from Caen, making the town a perfect base for exploring the unique history of the region.
