Your time in Esbjerg

Though compact, Esbjerg offers plenty for couples, families and friends to enjoy.

After a relaxing stroll round town you'll soon notice the imposing gothic Water Tower - a visit here affords some great views across the harbour and marshlands.

The Fisheries and Maritime Museum is one of the town's premiere attractions, where you can see Denmark's native sea life up close in its impressive, well stocked aquarium. The museum's seal and mink enclosures are also very popular.

Other attractions include the Esbjerg Museum of Art, the Printing Museum - and if you fancy a walk, you can visit the well-known Man Meets the Sea statues - around 45 minutes from town.

If you prefer more relaxing activities, the town centre offers some excellent shopping opportunities, great cafés - and a real taste of Denmark.

Esbjerg is more than just an ordinary coastal town. With a rich cultural heritage based around its maritime roots, there's plenty to do and see in this beautiful town.
