Ribe Byferie, Denmark

Enjoy a relaxing short break with a loved one at Ribe Byferie, just 40 minutes from our port in Esbjerg, on Denmark’s west coast.

Your self-catering apartment, with all the home comforts you’d expect, is a great base from which to enjoy the holiday centre’s facilities, as well as explore the surrounding area.

The medieval town of Ribe has many exciting museums, shops, restaurants and well-preserved buildings to discover. It has the oldest existing town hall in Denmark, where you can see some macabre exhibits including the executioner’s sword in its debtors’ prison.

During the summer months as the clock strikes 10, you can follow the night watchman as he walks through the ancient streets, singing the watchman song and telling tales of the town’s history.

Find out more about the local nature and wildlife at the Waddensea centre or take a trip to the beautiful Mandø island, with its unique birdlife, on a tractor-drawn bus.

Or if you’d prefer to relax on some of the beautiful white sandy beaches, then head to Rømø or Fanø island.

About your accommodation

The apartments at Ribe Byferie centre are tastefully furnished. Each contains a hallway, a kitchen with stove, fan-assisted oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and a selection of pots, pans and tableware.

In the living room, there is a double sofa bed, a television/radio and a telephone with its own direct phone number. Each home has a bathroom with a large shower and a cosy outdoor patio or a balcony.
