Craig Charles Funk & Soul ​Club and Smoove & Turrell - departs Fri 30 Sept

After a sell-out show onboard last year, we’re delighted to announce a return for the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club and local heroes Smoove & Turrell! Since 2008, BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Craig Charles has taken his collection of funk and soul music to nightclubs around the country playing a mixture of well-known, classic funk and soul tracks, as well as modern hits and remixes or covers of classic songs from new artists. Newcastle-based Smoove & Turrell play what they call Northern Funk, a style which blends funk, soul, hip-hop and pop music. As well as this, there will be DJ sets from Smoove, Ema Nosurak and Tizer and Toma playing funk, northern and modern soul. ​​

The Lindisfarne Story and Martin Stephenson – departs Sun 16 Oct

Ray Laidlaw and Billy Mitchell, members of legendary 70s group Lindisfarne, famous for hits such as Lady Eleanor, Meet Me on the Corner, Run for Home and (of course) Fog on the Tyne tell the story of the group through performances, stories and photos and video. They have toured the UK over the past 3 years regularly playing to large audiences. Martin Stephenson of the Daintees is a very special guest and will also support the former Lindisfarne members with his unique blend of acoustic folk and pop styles. ​​​​

Frankie & the Heartstrings and Hyde & Beast– departs Fri 18 Nov

Frankie & the Heartstrings, make sprightly, retro-tinged indie pop and have played together locally and internationally since forming in 2008.  They will be supported by Hyde & Beast, made up of Dave Hyde of Futureheads fame, and Neil Basset of the Golden Virgins, playing a kind of psychedelia but with punk sensibilities. Both bands are a must-see for fans of North-East indie rock. Local cult heroes Field Music will also be DJing on the night alongside former snooker player turned DJ Steve Davis, playing a range of indie-pop tunes sure to delight fans of both bands. The nights will also see performances by the Cornshed Sisters, Barry Hyde, Tom Fletcher, Jess Wilson and DJ sets from members of Frankie & the Heartstrings and more.​  ​​

Bowie Ball - departs Fri 2 Dec​

​Following the tragic passing of David Bowie earlier this year, the Bowie Ball is the perfect way to celebrate the life of a man who lived larger than most. Everybody has a different favourite Bowie persona, so the Bowie Ball is an event to dress up as Major Tom, Aladdin Sane, the Thin White Duke or whoever you prefer. We will be joined onboard by the Ronsonettes, one of the finest Bowiesque bands around and DJs playing the best of Bowie and other associated artists. There’ll also be a Bowie transformation station and a selfie booth as well as films about his life, Bowie-oke and more. A totally immersive Bowie experience to hail the life of one of the most important artists of the 20th century. ​

Onboard ​Entertainment

On your outbound sailing, you can enjoy amazing live performances from famous bands and artists, but there is plenty more to keep you busy as you cruise from Newcastle to Amsterdam and back. Our onboard facilities include bars and lounges, a cinema, a games room and more. We also have shops stocking everything from fashion and fragrance to confectionery and souvenirs, as well as a casino if you’re feeling lucky.​

Onboard Dining

We have a range of onboard dining options to suit any taste onboard including the recently-updated menu at our à la carte dining restaurant, the Blue Riband. Tuck into tasty cuts of beef cooked exactly how you like them at our Explorer's Steakhouse or enjoy great food from all corners of the globe at our 7 Seas all-you-can-eat buffet​ restaurant. Our new Little Italy restaurant serves traditional Italian meals, as well as modern family classics. We also have an extensive hot and cold breakfast selection and a cafe serving snacks, pastries and hot drinks. ​

En suite ​cabins​

​Our private en suite cabins are the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great night's sleep after the gig. Our standard Seaways cabins come with inside and sea view​ options. If you'd like to travel in style, then for an extra cost you can upgrade to one of our Premium Commodore​ or Commodore De Luxe cabins.​​
