Revealing Kent’s kindest person
Earlier this year we asked you to nominate kind and selfless individuals who always put others first and deserve to be named the Kindest Person in Kent.
We heard from hundreds of people across Kent and received heart-warming stories of people who go the extra mile for friends and family, people who raise money to help complete strangers and people who have given up their time to help others in need. We’ve now concluded our search for the Kindest Person in Kent and we were delighted to be joined by the team from KMFM and Luke Cameron, who is known as the nicest man in Britain for his charity work, to surprise winner Pam Jones, of Folkestone.
Pam gives up her time to help the homeless, cooking meals for them at the local Baptist Church every fortnight and running a community group called Action Against Homelessness. When Pam isn’t cooking meals for those less fortunate than her, she can also be found helping friends and neighbours in need of an extra pair of hands. She is also a foster carer who has fostered more than 200 children.
Pam received a prize of a free ferry crossing on our Dover-Calais or Dover-Dunkirk routes and cash to spend during her trip to the Continent.
Take a look at the moment we surprised Pam with her prizes.
