Savvy travellers looking for the best deals on trips to Europe can get discounted ferry crossings with DFDS by booking early for their 2017 journeys.
The company is offering special early booking discounts on its Newcastle to Amsterdam route with ten per cent off return fares by car. Significant savings are also available on its popular mini cruise product, with a two-for-one deal for travel in the first three months of 2017. The mini cruise includes two nights on board one of the two cruise ferries serving the route, a full programme of entertainment throughout the journey and coach transfers to Amsterdam city centre with up to five hours to explore the Dutch capital.
By planning ahead for their short break or summer holiday, customers can save 10 per cent on the cost of travelling in a car, motorhome or on a motorcycle on the route. As an added bonus, the booking can be secured with payment of a 10 per cent deposit now, with full payment not due until 70 days before the booked departure date. Prices start from £41 per person each way for a car and four people on selected departures throughout 2017, if booked before 1 March.
The 241 mini cruise prices start from £45 per person based on two people sharing an en suite cabin. In addition, the company is offering special deals on a three-night Amsterdam hotel break, which includes two nights in an en suite cabin on board and up to three nights in one of Amsterdam’s city centre hotels. Prices are from £92 per person. And DFDS partners with accommodation provider www.booking.com to offer a selection of hotels. Both deals are available for travel until 29 March 2017.
DFDS provides daily overnight departures to Holland. The Newcastle-Amsterdam cruise ferries are equipped with four restaurants including the Explorers’ Steakhouse, an all-you-can-eat world-food buffet in the 7 Seas, the Blue Riband à la carte restaurant and ‘Little Italy’, a pasta and pizza restaurant. There are also a number of cafes and bars, as well as live music from a house band and acoustic troubadour. Other on board facilities include a shop, a casino, a cinema and a Kidz club to keep children entertained.
Commodore cabins are available for a small additional fee. They sleep three or four people and include a flat screen TV, sea view, steward service, complimentary mini bar and a complimentary hot breakfast buffet. Commodore De Luxe cabins are available on King Seaways and provide exclusive access to the Commodore De Luxe Lounge with free drinks, snacks, magazines and internet access.
