DFDS supports local Little Miracles group with special mini cruises
Travel from Newcastle to Amsterdam from only £35 per person with profits donated to local children’s group
Award-winning ferry operator, DFDS, has joined forces with local charitable cause, The Little Miracles Group Ashington, to offer passengers a special mini-cruise from Newcastle to Amsterdam at a reduced rate of just £35 per person on selected dates in November.
All proceeds from the special sailings will be donated to the Little Miracles Group, which is devoted to helping children in Northumberland who have severe and complex health needs, including supporting their families with fundraising, trips and events and providing a social space for both the parents and children.
Last year, the special cruises raised over £5,000 for charity and DFDS is hoping to beat that this year with 11 special mini cruise departures.
Passengers need to book quickly, as there is limited availability for this special offer, with sailings available on the 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 16, 18, 22, 24, 25 & 30 November 2014.
Max Foster, Passenger Director at DFDS comments: “We are delighted to be able to provide these charity mini cruises to our customers, which not only offer great value for money for our passengers, but also support the amazing efforts of the Little Miracles Group in Ashington. This is the tenth year that we have run these special cruises, which always prove extremely popular, so we advise passengers to book early to in order to avoid disappointment!”
Susan Dickinson from The Little Miracles Group Ashington comments: “We are thrilled to have been chosen by DFDS as its charity mini cruise partner. We are a self- funded group within Ashington Children’s Centre and the money raised from these mini cruises will make a huge difference the children and families that we support.”
