Experience True Ferry Freedom With DFDS’ Offer of a Free Second Crossing or Mini Cruise during National Ferry Fortnight
• First 500 passengers to buy a Dover–France return fare can book a free day trip*
• Passengers who book transport on Newcastle-Amsterdam route can redeem a free mini cruise for one person **
DFDS, the award-winning ferry operator, is celebrating this year’s National Ferry Fortnight (NFF) theme of “ferry freedom” by offering passengers two fantastic offers to redeem a free day return or mini cruise on selected routes from the UK to France and Holland.
The first 500 people to book a return crossing for a car and up to nine passengers with DFDS on its Dover-Calais or Dover-Dunkirk routes, during NFF (2-15 March 2015), will receive a free return day-trip for a car and up to nine people on the same route for travel up to 11 December 2015 on selected departures.
DFDS is also offering a free two-night Amsterdam mini cruise to people booking a standard crossing during NFF, on its Newcastle-Amsterdam route. The free Amsterdam mini cruise is redeemable for one person per booking, for travel up to 11 December 2015 on selected departures. Up to three accompanying passengers can travel on the mini cruise at a reduced rate of £22 per person, based on four people sharing a cabin (usual price £48 per person).
Max Foster, passenger director at DFDS, says: “National Ferry Fortnight is a great initiative, and this year’s theme is all about ferry freedom. Ferry travel is often overlooked by people booking their holidays, but one of the great advantages of taking your car and a ferry over to Europe means that you can travel at your own pace and take your own route. You are also free from a lot of the hassle associated with other forms of transport, as there are no luggage weight or size restrictions and you are able to move around freely during your sailing and explore all the great shops, restaurants and kids play areas onboard.
“This year, we have made it even easier for families and holiday-makers to have a taste of ferry freedom with our fantastic offers on our Dover-France routes and our cruise ferry route on the North Sea between Newcastle and Amsterdam, but with offers this good, early booking will be key!”
The National Ferry Fortnight offers are available on selected DFDS’ sailings from Dover-Dunkirk, Dover-Calais and Newcastle-Amsterdam.
DFDS operates up to 48 sailings a day between the UK and France as well as daily sailings between Newcastle and Amsterdam. All DFDS ferries are equipped with a range of high-quality onboard facilities ¬– including bars and restaurants, a shop and a dedicated children's area – so your holiday starts as soon as you board the ferry!
