Take a Blooming Great Break to Keukenhof Gardens in Holland
- Two night mini cruise from £99 per person, based on two people sharing
Award winning ferry operator, DFDS, has launched its popular short break offers to Holland’s famous Keukenhof Gardens. Renowned as being one of the most beautiful public gardens in the world, you can book a relaxing two or three night mini break to Keukenhof from just £99 per person for a two nights mini cruise, or £185 per person for a three night break, including hotel*, based on two people sharing. The mini cruise package includes two nights in a private, en suite cabin onboard one of our cruise ferries, coach transfers to and from Keukenhof, as well as entrance tickets to the gardens.
With over 30 gorgeous and colourful flower showcases for visitors to enjoy, the spectacular spring gardens at Keukenhof provide a beautiful and fragrant platform for hundreds of prize blooms from leading flower arrangers, as well as the latest trends in the gardening world.
Keukenhof is a wonderful place to take that special someone, but is also great for families, with plenty to do for children, including going on a scavenger hunt, playing in the playground or making new friends in the petting zoo. You can also take a free guided tour or cruise along the canals in a whisper boat for a unique view of the gardens.
Whether you are looking for some inspiration for your own garden or just wanting to explore the grounds, there are a host of eateries to help keep you and your group fed and watered during your visit.
The theme of the gardens this year is Van Gogh, in commemoration of the great artist’s death 125 years ago, and there will be a huge tulip plateau on display inspired by one of Van Gogh’s self-portraits.
Relax and enjoy the ride
We believe the journey is just as important as any other part of your holiday. While cruising in comfort onboard one of our North Sea ferries, you can enjoy live music and relax with a drink at one of our onboard bars, catch a movie at our cinema, or even visit the casino. Children are catered for too, with the onboard Kidz’ Club and there is also an entertainer during school holidays to help keep the little ones amused.
We have a range of options available to you onboard, whether you would like to dine à la carte at our Blue Riband restaurant, enjoy delicious steaks at our Explorer’s Steakhouse or sample global cuisine at our 7 Seas all-you-can-eat buffet. We also have an extensive hot and cold breakfast selection and a cafe serving snacks, pastries and hot drinks.
En suite cabins
Relax and get comfortable in your private en suite cabin while you cruise between Newcastle and Amsterdam. Our standard Seaways cabins are available with inside and sea view options, but if you would like to travel in style, then you can always upgrade to one of our Premium Commodore or Commodore De Luxe cabins.
