Check-in

DFDS customers will need to pass through passport controls before reaching the check-in points. When travelling to the port, please allow adequate time in order to complete the check-in process. A minimum of 45 minutes (90 minutes for busy sailings) prior to the sailing departure time for our ferry crossings on Eastern Channel routes​

​​Travelling to the Port of calais

The Port of Calais is directly connected to the European motorway network via two auto routes:

  • If you’re travelling fro​m the centre of France, Paris or southern Europe, then travel via the A26/E15​

  • From Benelux and northern Europe, take the A16/E40

  • From Normandy and western France, take the A16/E402 

Port Facilities:

  • ​​Free public car park in front of the terminal building.  This is an unsecured car park and owners leave their vehicles there at their own risk. 
  • Toilets & showers
  • Vending machines with snacks & drinks
  • Children's area with arcade games 

Car Parking:​

There is a free of charge public car park in front of the Terminal building (Calais).
