Check-in​:

DFDS customers will need to pass through passport controls before reaching the check-in points. When travelling to the po​rt, please allow adequate time in order to complete the check-in process. A minimum of 45 minutes (90 minutes for busy sailings) prior to the sailing departure time for our ferry crossings on Eastern Channel routes.​​

About:

One of the busiest ferry ports in the world, the ferry terminal at Dover Eastern Docks is very easy to find and access.

From here, DFDS take thousands of tourist and freight vehicles and passengers to either Dunkirk or Calais in the north of France each year. ​

​​Travelling to the Port

  • From the A2, follow the signs to Dover port
  • From the M20 motorway, follow the signs to Dover port​

Car Parking:

​Long term parking is also available via Reylon Parking and Port Parking. Short stay parking is also available at a charge. 

Important Information

The terminal at Dover is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you arrive without buying a ticket in advance, you still need to go through passport control first and then proceed to a DFDS check-in booth where you can purchase a ticket. ​
