A Relaxing Crossing
Unwind onboard our overnight crossings to Amsterdam. Have a bite to eat in our selection of restaurants, indulge in some retail therapy in our Sea Shop and save up to 30% against high street prices. Upgrade to Priority Boarding to be one of the first to board and disembark, meaning you can enjoy the fantastic onboard facilities sooner, including our selection of bars, cinema and club. As the sun sets, head out on deck for some star gazing, and return to your en suite cabin for a restful night’s sleep before arrival in Amsterdam the following morning.
If you’re heading to Holland for a family holiday, there’s plenty to keep you occupied onboard, including a children’s play area, Pirate Island, arcade games for older children and plenty of child-friendly dining options in our Explorer’s Kitchen and North Sea Bistro. Our interactive Zappar app lets your little ones help Jack the Pirate find his treasure around the ship and our onboard cinema screens films for the whole family to enjoy. On certain crossings, you may even be able to spot dolphins from the deck!
Amsterdam is steeped in history and exploring via its famous waterways on a canal cruise is a great way to discover more about the city. Its range of museums offers something for everyone, from Anne Frank House for literature and history lovers, to the Rijksmuseum or Moco for art lovers, and children will love Madame Tussauds and Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum. If you visit in December, be sure to go to Dam Square to see the Christmas tree which reaches over 20 metres. The Christmas markets in the city are always a delight too.
With a range of different cultures, cuisine and breath-taking sights within driving distance, European travel is truly a thrill. The extensive road links to wider Europe make it easy to get to Germany, Belgium and France. Visit the wine villages on the banks of the Rhine, sample some Belgian chocolate in Bruges and why not visit Parc Astérix in France for guaranteed family fun? Or to explore more of Holland, you could head to the vibrant, arty Haarlem or venture to the coast for a stay in Zandvoort to enjoy beautiful walking routes.
