Save yourself some money
Ferry travel can help you save money on your holiday travel. Travelling at night or during the week will often mean great savings.
Plus, unlike air travel you don’t have to pay for luggage and there are no restrictions on how much you can bring. You can even take as much liquid as you like!
You’ll often find great offers and discounts on our website. Check our
offers page. Or if you’ve got a Tesco Clubcard you can redeem up to 3 times to value of your points. We also work with a number of accommodation providers with great offers from Center Parcs, Sunparks and Novasol Holiday Homes.
There are 5 restaurants on the ships on our Newcastle-Amsterdam route and you can choose from a steakhouse, Italian, à la carte or a freshly-prepared international buffet.
Fill up on delicious hot food on our Dover-France and Newhaven-Dieppe routes, too. Alternatively, opt for a smaller option with snacks and light bites available on all routes.
Forget watching movies on a tiny screen on the back of someone’s chair and book into our cinema on our Newcastle-Amsterdam route, instead. This route also boasts live entertainment, 3 bars and a casino. Catch the latest news on our flat-screen TV’s on our Dover to France route while the little ones enjoy our soft play and arcade games, available on all routes.
Instead of ordering from a magazine, take a walk around our onboard shop, available on all routes, and try the products for yourself! With offers often better than the high street, spoil yourself with that new perfume you’ve been after, or treat yourself to a single malt whisky. There are also designer watches, cosmetics and more.
Convenience and freedom
Say goodbye to airport parking and stressful check-in processes, we make your journey as simple as possible. Travelling on a DFDS ferry also means you can travel on foot or with your bicycle, motorbike, car, motorhome or caravan.
More than just a ferry
Take a walk out on deck and fill your lungs with the fresh sea air while enjoying the beautiful panoramic ocean scenes. It definitely beats being stuck on a train in the Channel tunnel!
Stretch your legs on our spacious ferries and, instead of extra leg room, why not relax on a comfy chair while you sit back with a book or a drink?
The road ahead
Take the road trip you’ve always wanted to, or explore the continent on your bike. Our ports are placed to ensure easy access to the motorway networks when you reach Europe, so your journey is as smooth as possible. If you travel by foot on our Newcastle-Amsterdam route, we also have a coach that takes you straight to the centre of Amsterdam. Taking your own vehicle means you don’t have the cost of hiring when you arrive, too.
A taste of luxury
Our Dover-France routes boast a deluxe Premier Lounge with complimentary prosecco, hot and cold drinks and sweet treats. Our Newhaven-Dieppe route has quiet areas where you can relax, or cabins to book for a small surcharge. Our overnight Newcastle-Amsterdam crossing has a range of en suite cabins available, for a VIP experience book into our Commodore Cabins.
