Important Information when Travelling with DFDS over the busy holiday period.
The DFDS customer service team will be working hard over the busy holiday period to ensure our vessels operate to the advertised sailing schedule. Please be sure to check our travel updates before setting off on your journey and whilst travelling to the port, we are expecting the roads and ports to be extremlely busy.
On arrival at the port please have your passports ready for inspection and remove any covers or holders prior to arriving at border and check-in controls. We highly recommend all customers to allow 90 minutes to complete all check points at the port prior to the sailing departure.
You may be held in area called the 'buffer zone' which means there are delays at border control, while extra checks are carried out by the French Police. Rest assured, if you are held in these lanes we will put you onto our next available service.
DFDS check-in controls open 2 hours prior to the sailing departure and close no later than 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure. When travelling to the terminal, please ensure that you keep up to date with our live port and sailing information which is regularly updated with the latest traffic and departure notifications 24 hours a day @DFDSUKUpdates
