IJmuiden

You’ll find lots of things to see and do as soon as you leave the ferry in IJmuiden. This port city is home to picturesque beaches and coastline, as well as the country’s biggest fish market. There are places to eat and drink to refresh yourself before you head to nearby Amsterdam or Haarlem, or you could enjoy some water sports on the North Sea.

Haarlem

Haarlem is the historic capital of North Holland, famously known as the City of Flowers due to the many tulip fields that surround it. Like Amsterdam, it has its own system of canals and waterways, as well as some stunning architecture, but is a little more relaxed than the bustling capital just 12 miles away.

The Hague

The Hague is home to Holland’s government and its royal family, and has an important role in international politics.
