We have two ships on our Newcastle to Amsterdam route – KING SEAWAYS and PRINCESS SEAWAYS.

The ships on this route are called cruise ferries as they boast a huge range of facilities and entertainment options to ensure you have an enjoyable overnight crossing.

NEW SHIPS FOR NEWCASTLE-AMSTERDAM

E​arly 2020, we will see two new ships joining our Newcastle – Amsterdam route. It means we have to say goodbye to our beloved King and Princess Seaways, however, we are excited to be introducing the two new ferries. They will have a higher car-deck capacity which brings more opportunities for you to reach your destination.

KING SEAWAYS

​Built in 1987, this ship went through a major renovation in 2006. The ship can accommodate over 1,300 passengers and 600 cars, and has a wide range of restaurants, shops, bars, cafés, two cinemas, casino and children’s ​entertainment.

You may also need to make special arrangements at your destination as the coaches in Amsterdam are not suitable for wheelchairs.

  • Disabled Cabins: Four outside cabins and two inside cabins - entrance door width 90 cm 

  • Lifts: Suitable for normal sized wheelchairs 

    • Two lift's from deck 6 to 7, measuring 108 cm x 144 cm -  entrance door width 87 cm

    • Two twin lift's measuring 107 cm x 143 cm - entrance door width 85 cm

  • Wheelchair-accessible public toilet on deck 9 - entrance door width 93 cm

  • Restricted Areas: Deck 5 has no lift access 

  • Disabled access available on/off ship

Princess Seaways 

  • Disabled Cabins: 2 Outside cabins and 1 Inside cabins 

  • Lifts: Suitable for normal sized wheelchairs

    • Two lift's from deck 6 to 7, measuring 108 cm x 144 cm -  entrance door width 87 cm

    • Two twin lift's measuring 107 cm x 143 cm - entrance door width 85 cm

  • Disabled Toilet Facilities: In wheelchair accessible cabins 

  • Restricted Areas: Deck 4 has no lift access
