We operate up to 54 sailings between our port in Dover and Dunkirk or Calais in northern France throughout the day and night, so you’re sure to find a sailing to suit your schedule.  After your short journey of just 2 hours to Dunkirk or 90 minutes to Calais, you’ll arrive in northern France, with easy access through the country to Belgium, Holland and Germany.

  2. Call DFDS on 0871 521 1538* to make your booking, quoting 'Tesco' 
  3. Make your booking at least 28 days before the date of departure 
  4. Write down your DFDS booking reference and keep it in a safe place with your Boost token. We will also email your DFDS booking confirmation to you.​

Can I book a flexi, multi-trip or any other short break fare with Clubcard boost tokens?

​No, the Clubcard boost token offer is a special promotion for standard ferry crossings with a vehicle on our Dover to Dunkirk & Calais and Newcastle-Amsterdam routes, plus Amsterdam mini cruises booked by 30 November 2018. Tokens can be used subject to availability and space may not be available on every sailing.

Can caravans and trailers be added to my booking?

Yes, caravans and trailers now available on Dover-Calais, Dover-Dunkirk and Newcastle-Amsterdam routes.​ If added at the time of booking Clubcard Boost tokens may be used in payment.  However if they are added at a later date then payment must be made by credit or debit card.

Can I add extra passengers after I have made my original booking?

Extra passengers can be added after you have made your original booking subject to availability and space may not be available on every sailing.  There may be an additional charge depending on the changes which must be payable at the time of the amendment by credit or debit card.

Can I change passenger names after I have made my original booking?

​Yes name changes can be made by the person responsible for the original booking, before the booked crossing time of departure.  A fee of £10 will be charged for each name change which you must pay, in full, at the time of the change.

Can I change my booking sailing time or date of travel and will this cost extra?

​You can amend your booking 28 days or more before departure, subject to availability. Changes in the date, time, passenger numbers, cabin or vehicle type will result in any increase in price from the original fare and the fare applicable on the day you make the amendment being charged plus an amendment fee as set out in our General Booking Terms and Conditions and Conditions of Carriage. Should changes to the booking reduce the value of the booking then the original cost is still valid.

Can I change the route that I am originally booked on to another DFDS route?

​No, alterations to route of travel cannot be made to your reservation once a confirmed booking is made.

Can I get a quote of a fare before I apply for my Clubcard Boost tokens from Tesco?

​Yes, however the fare quoted for the travel dates you require may be subject to an increase by the time you call back with the voucher, so it is imperative to apply for your Clubcard Boost tokens first.

Can I get a refund if I cancel my booking?

​Cancellations of Tesco Clubcard bookings will be charged at 100% of the total fare.  If you cancel your booking, the voucher value within the booking will not be refunded. However you can amend your booking 28 days or more before departure, subject to availability and any increase in price from the original fare and the fare applicable on the day you make the amendment being charged plus an amendment fee.

Can I make full payment for my Tesco booking, send in the Boost tokens later and then get refund when the Boost tokens arrive?

​No, Clubcard Boost tokens must be declared at the time of booking and cannot be exchanged retrospectively and can only be used once.  Your Clubcard Boost tokens numbers will be requested at the time of booking so please have them to hand when you call.

Can I make my booking before I apply for my Clubcard Boost tokens from Tesco?

​No, you must apply to Tesco first for your Clubcard Boost tokens as we need to know the correct total amount of applicable Clubcard Boost tokens that you are using as full or part payment on your booking. The Clubcard Boost tokens must be validated by DFDS with Tesco Clubcard within 7 days of making your booking; otherwise your booking will be cancelled. Your Clubcard Boost tokens numbers will be requested at the time of booking so please have them to hand when you call.

Can I pay for the Sea View Lounge, Premium Class Cabins, pre-paid meals onboard and additional services with Clubcard Boost tokens?

​No, the Clubcard boost tokens can be used in payment towards standard ferry crossings services or Amsterdam mini cruise only. Upgrades, meals and other additional services can be added to your original booking subject to availability and space.  There will be an additional charge for adding these services which is payable at the time of booking, by credit or debit card. 

Clubcard Boost tokens are not valid for purchases made onboard our ships or at our ports.

Can I pay the service fee with my Clubcard Boost tokens?

​Yes the service fee of £5 on Dover to Dunkirk & Calais route and £20 Newcastle-Amsterdam route can be paid for using your Boost tokens. There is no service fee for the mini cruise.

Can I use my friends/families Clubcard Boost tokens with my own?

​No, your Clubcard Boost tokens are applicable to yourself. Clubcard Boost tokens are not transferrable.

Can I use my Clubcard boost tokens in conjunction with other offers?

​No. You cannot use your Clubcard boost tokens towards a special offer fare. You can only use it towards full price, standard, non-discounted fares.​
