UNESCO in Europe
A UNESCO World Heritage Site is a place (such as a forest, mountain, lake, desert, monument, building, complex, or city) that is listed by UNESCO and deemed to be of cultural or physical significance, and Europe has over 350 of them to choose from.
From Ancient Roman amphitheaters and Gothic cathedrals to modern art galleries, Victorian factories and snow-capped mountains, all can be found on a cultural European tour.
Getting there has never been easier, especially with our regular ferries to ports in Calais, Dunkirk and Amsterdam.
Currently, France has 41 properties that have UNESCO World Heritage status, and it’s no surprise as the country has a long history and a great many world-renowned landmarks.
Included on the list are cathedrals, canals, mountains, bridges and even walking routes, so you’re sure to find something exciting to see on your holiday.

Considering its small size, Belgium has 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites as well as a further 17 which have been submitted for consideration.
However, there are 32 belfries spread around the country that are considered to be just one UNESCO World Heritage Site, so make sure you visit as least one of them on your trip to this fascinating little country.
